Wild Ridge and Mill Run Golf Course Maintenance

Wild Ridge is a links style 18-hole golf course and Mill Run is a traditional 18-hole golf course with flat greens, tees, and fairways. Wild Ridge is known for being the best public golf course in the Eau Claire County. Wild Ridge was built in 1999 and Mill Run was built in 1989. The entire property stretches 500 acres across the west side of Eau Claire Wisconsin. Wild Ridge and Mill Run are managed by Landscape Golf Management. 

Job Title: Golf Course Assistant Superintendent

Job Duration: Full time

Pay Rate: $40,000-$55,000 Salary

Job Description: Assistants will be involved in the daily maintenance of two golf courses, Wild Ridge and Mill Run, and will work closely with the Superintendent and the General Manager. Assistants will also be responsible for the management of a 25+ member team. During the golf season the assistant is required to work every other weekend. Weekends are 4-hour shifts. The Assistant will need to be able to perform any tasks at any moment.

Specific duties of a Golf Course Assistant include:

• -          Take direction from Superintendent
• -          Train and supervise employees
• -          Apply chemicals and fertilizer
• -          Maintain drainage and irrigation system

Job Requirements: Candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience working in the turf industry. Candidate must have a high attention to detail and needs to take pride in their work. Candidate must enjoy working outdoors, as they will be required to work in all types of weather. Candidate must have a driver’s license and a reliable source of transportation.
