Wayzata Country Club is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Superintendent, available immediately. Wayzata Country Clubis an 18-hole premier private membership Country Club located in the west metro. Wayzata is a club that provides our Members & Guests with championship golf, excellent dining and a variety of recreational year-round activities including, Trap & Skeet shooting, Skating Rinks, Cross Country Ski/Snowshoe trails and Paddle Ball.  Our success has been built on privacy, camaraderie and a commitment to providing the best possible facilities and service for our Members. Founded in 1956, the original Robert Bruce Harris design was updated in 2008 under the direction of golf course architect John Fought adding a short course and large practice area. Mr. Fought has developed a new master plan that entails improvements to the practice facility, additional tee boxes and new collection areas around greens. A new maintenance facility is currently under construction and will be completed at the end of March. This consists of an 8000 sq ft cold storage building and a separate 9000 sq ft building comprised of employee areas, office space, equipment repair and chemical storage/mix room.

We are looking for an individual to join our team and help us to grow a culture of excellent conditions, hard work, camaraderie and fun. This will be our fifth season of variable rate fungicide applications on fairways utilizing NDVI satellite imagery and GPS enabled sprayers. This has allowed us to reduce some fungicide applications by 1/3. Moving forward we are looking into additional prescription applications that would involve wetting agents, fertilizer and even PGRs. We have also begun making GPS guided fertilizer applications on fairways and rough and are exploring using prescription mapping to further improve applications.
